Two Projects, One Stack
by Lisa Lahiff | 8 years ago
Hello wonderful crafting friends, old and new! It's Lisa Lahiff here with you today from the DCWV Social Media Design Team, and I have two different projects to share with you using the same papers from the same stack! I love when I can use one product for multiple purposes, and the DCWV stacks are one of those products…crafting gifts that just keep on giving, hehehe! For these projects, specifically I am using the newly released Mod Metallic available at your local A.C. Moore store. Enough of my yapping, let's get to some showing…
The foil sheet of gold foil in this stack is so gorgeous that I just had to use it on my project. Here you can see where I die cut it into the word love 3 times and added it down the side of my patterned paper. You will also notice that the black and white floral paper has a touch of color; it helped me tie in the boldness of her blue dress with the patterned papers (I added some blue and a touch of pink watercolor to it).
This photo shows you a side view of the layout to give you a better feel of how the die cut hearts keep your eyes moving across the page. You will also find several random die cuts hidden behind/between layers along with a few DCWV rhinestones and gems.
Since I had cut so many of these papers up, I had pieces left over. I decided to use them together to create this card:
This card came together so quickly as the stacks are already made up of matching patterns. It also gave me a way to use up those scraps on another project!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Since you have been able to see a few of the new A.C. Moore stacks by now, which ones are your favorites? When you happen to pick up one of these stacks, make sure you share it with us on Facebook or instagram (we love seeing what you create!).
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
