A gift for a friend

Welcome DCWV fans! It’s Jenifer from the DCWV Social Media Design Team!  Mothers Day is coming up quickly, so I thought I would put together a quick gift for one of my special friends that will be celebrating her first Mothers Day this year.

Using the DIY rolled Flowers stack, I created this large rose.  I love how big and beautiful it is.  Using a stylus, I rounded out the petals to give it a little more dimension and I filled the center with some pearls and some tulle.  DCWV also has these beautiful sturdy boxes; I love the contrast with the black and gold and the big pink flower.

The box is a little big for the necklace but it just keeps the gift a mystery.  I tied a fun black tulle bow around the outside to keep it closed.  I also ran a piece of wired gold bows around the center of the black tulle to give it a little more sparkle.

Have you seen these beautiful new necklaces from Blue Moon Beads?  They are called Tiny Worlds and there are several options that you can use to fill up these small little containers.  I LOVE THEM!! They also make perfect little gifts for teachers and friends.
